Challenge addressed

Estuarine settlements face accelerating shoreline erosion and tidal flooding, while mangrove cover has thinned through decades of conversion.

Projects

A 620-hectare restoration programme combining community nurseries, hydrological repair of blocked tidal creeks and long-term monitoring plots. Delivery is organised in five phases with village-level maintenance agreements.
